Text Messaging
If you text one of our office numbers, or if you give us your mobile number and consent to text communication, we will use that number to communicate with you about your appointments and your care as described in this Policy.
We do not sell your information. We do not share your mobile telephone number or your consent to receive text messages with any third party for that party’s own marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade mobile telephone numbers or SMS consent to anyone.
We use service providers to operate our telephone and messaging systems. These providers process messages on our behalf and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, by telling our staff, or by calling either office. Reply HELP to any message for assistance. Opting out of text messages does not affect your care.
Text messaging is not a secure or confidential method of communication. Messages may be stored by your mobile carrier and by our service providers, and they remain on your device and on ours. We use text messaging for scheduling and general communication only. Please do not send us detailed information about symptoms, medications, diagnoses, or other sensitive health matters by text message — call the office instead. If you choose to send health information by text, you accept the risks described here.
Text messaging is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical or dental emergency, call the office directly or call 911.
